Would SLASH Star In A Potential Sequal To 'It Might Get Loud'?
March 24, 2010The Pulse of Radio reports: Producer Thomas Tull is considering doing a sequel to the 2008 documentary, "It Might Get Loud", and there's already been talk about what artists might get involved. The original flick explored the history of the electric guitar, focusing on the careers and styles of Jimmy Page, Jack White and U2's The Edge. Now guitarist Slash tells The Pulse of Radio that he's been approached about possibly starring in a sequel. "I love Jack White and I love Jimmy Page and I learned, I guess, a little bit about The Edge because I'd never really been much of a — I just never really followed those guys," he said. "The reason I saw it was because the producer, Thomas Tull, called me up and had me come down to a screening. So he wants to do another one. We'll see what happens. I would do it, definitely."
The film premiered at the 2008 Toronto Film Festival, and played at both Sundance Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival in 2009.
The former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist releases his self-titled solo album on April 6. The first single from the set, called "By The Sword", features vocals from WOLFMOTHER frontman Andrew Stockdale.
Slash, Dave Grohl and Lemmy Kilmister are teaming up to perform at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. The show is slated for April 8 at Los Angeles' Club Nokia.
